Pavlograd Chemical Plant is resuming work on the development of missile systems and employs 540 workers

"Pavlograd Chemical Plant" resumes work on the utilization of rocket fuel and the creation of components for new domestic missile systems.

with reference to Defense Express.

In particular, during a visit to the enterprise on April 6, 2020, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that the Cabinet and the National Security and Defense Council had decided to launch a program to create solid fuel for Ukrainian missile systems "Alder", "Neptune" and others. In addition, the Government has allocated funds for the disposal of rocket fuel, which is also what the plant is doing.

Leonid Shiman, the head of the Pavlograd Chemical Plant Research and Production Association, also confirmed his words.

In February, Presidential Decree No. 59 (referring to Decree №59 / 2020 "On the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of February 18, 2020" On the main indicators of the state defense order for 2020 and 2021, 2022 ") was the missile program was restored, and appropriate instructions were given to make changes to defense orders. Today, thanks to the intervention of the first persons in the country, it turned out that the program was restored. We are recruiting people here now. The total number of people, taking into account the utilization of solid rocket fuel, will take about 540 people, and I think that in the coming weeks we will begin to re-produce missile systems for the needs of the Ministry of Defense, "- said Leonid Szyman.

He expressed confidence that the supply of high-precision weapons to the Armed Forces, developed by Ukrainian defense companies, would significantly strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
Ukrainian missiles R-360 "Neptune", missile for OTRK "Thunder", 122 mm rocket projectile "Typhoon-1" and 300-mm rocket-propelled projectile P624 "Alder"

This also applies to Alder-M, it also applies to Neptune, because it was instructed to put 3 divisions on combat duty. This also applies to the Typhoon missile systems, with a range of 40 km with the replacement of Gradov, the old systems that existed. This also applies to operational and tactical complexes "Thunder", which can fly up to 500 km, "- said the director of the Pavlograd Chemical Plant.

In addition, Leonid Shiman added that with the launch of all programs at the plant in full, the company will need about one and a half thousand new employees.

"Because 76 houses and buildings will be launched at once, which will house 76 technological processes," he said.

It should be added that during the visit of the Minister of Internal Affairs to the plant Leonid Shiman personally acquainted the delegation of civil servants with the technological processes taking place at the enterprise. He also showed the guests warehouses where containers (stages) with old rocket fuel are stored (there are six such warehouses at the PCP).

He noted that due to the complex technological process of reprocessing rocket fuel, it can not only be disposed of, but also used to manufacture new weapons.
Leonid Shiman showed the guests the stages of conversion of old rocket fuel into pure octogen

"As a result (reprocessing), a pure octogen appears, which can be used to equip any missile warheads or to equip any new rocket fuel. Such a product of about 180 tons can be extracted from the stages that we have. They can be used to make about 2,500 combat units, for example, for "Alder", - said the head of the NGO "Pavlograd Chemical Plant".
