UA.RPA presented an innovative static thermal imaging thermometer for detecting patients with coronavirus
The private scientific and technical company UA.RPA, a member of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, has developed its own static thermal imaging thermometer.
with reference to Defense Express.
Such a development can be used in both civilian and defense life, and is especially needed for disease prevention in the context of the fight against the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The development consists of two cameras, software and a so-called "black body", which serves as a benchmark - it is compared to human temperature. This distinguishes the thermometer from other similar devices, because it provides high accuracy - the maximum error is not more than 0.2 degrees Celsius.
The meter is able to screen the temperature at a distance of up to 10 meters and not just one person, but everyone who comes into view, which speeds up the process.
“The system automatically recognizes faces by eyes, ie even in a mask. This temperature is first displayed on the screen. If there is an excess of temperature, then either a sound signal is given or a photo is taken, ”Daniil Sitnikov, Technical Director of UA.RPA, told about the innovative development.
It is noted that the device is not intended for private use, but for scanning crowded places, such as large factories, offices, shopping malls, airports, subways and more.
