Border guards test a new Ukrainian SMG-15 submachine gun
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has tested a new domestic submachine gun SMG-15, which is planned to be used by border guards.

The 9x19-mm SMG-15 submachine gun was developed by specialists of UKROP LLC, a company producing a new Ukrainian Army rifle UAR-10 (military version of the Zbroyar Z-10 carbine).
At the initiative of the State Border Guard Service Administration, with the involvement of experts from other law enforcement agencies, the departmental tests SMG-15 were conducted during the week. During which its tactical-technical and ergonomic characteristics were checked, as well as the possibility of shooting at critical conditions and extreme temperatures (+ 500C and -400C).
According to the test results, the SMG-15 submachine gun proved to be a reliable model of armament and showed satisfactory results. By agreement with the manufacturer, a batch of SMG-15 submachine guns will be transferred to one of the border guard units for controlled operation in real service conditions.
"The gradual transition to new weapons will increase the firepower of border units," the agency said.
