In Odessa, paving slabs will be made of recycled plastic
Odessa project Precious plastic Ukraine starts a project to recycle plastic waste on paving slabs. The raw materials will be disposable tableware, colored and white PET, PS and other household plastic. Garbage will be sorted, crushed, made into a mixture and pressed into special molds.

The production of recycled plastic tiles is quite energy-intensive, but the authors of the project believe that this is a great alternative to burying or burning plastic. In the near future, volunteers plan to show both the production process and finished products.
We will remind that in Ukraine there is already a production of paving slabs from plastic. Such a shop was launched in Vinnytsia region at the end of last year. Precious plastic Ukraine believes that it is pointless to transport waste to Vinnytsia for processing, as transportation nullifies attempts to reduce environmental pollution. Therefore, volunteers want to process local raw materials in Odessa.
