Azov Steel has developed new steel for Romanian shipyards
Metallurgists of Azovstal plant (Mariupol) have developed six new types of steel for Romanian shipbuilders. The steel for the Romanian shipyards at the plant was made for the first time by obtaining a special DNV-GL certificate for thermomechanical rolling.

The converter shop also produced a trial batch of slabs for a customer from Slovakia with an increased silicon content in the composition and a lower level of non-metallic inclusions.
The plant is constantly expanding the geography of its exports. So, for the customer from Saudi Arabia metal rolling with the strengthened requirements to quality of a surface was made. These are sheets of the same steel grade with different requirements - hot-rolled, normalized and with additional impact tests.
