The Ministry of Defense has determined the parts where ammunition production will be created
This year, it is planned to spend UAH 300 million on the creation of ammunition production in the arsenals of the Ministry of Defense, and with proper funding, production is expected to start this year.

On June 11 this year, the agency issued Order №177 of May 27, which determined the Main Department for the Organization of Ammunition Production and Construction of Special Purpose Facilities together with the Armed Forces Logistics Command to be responsible for organizing the creation of ammunition assembly and repair facilities at arsenals (bases, warehouses).
The 482nd Design and Technology Center of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been designated as the main organization for technical support of ammunition assembly and repair.
It is noted that the order was issued to implement the State target program for the creation and development of production of ammunition and special chemicals, which the President in February extended for another three years - until 2024.
In addition to the already mentioned governing bodies, the document mentions the General Logistics Department of the General Staff, which will determine the need of the Armed Forces for ammunition, priorities in DOZ and proposals for budget funding; Central Research Institute of Armed Forces, which will form technical tasks and provide scientific and technical support; as well as the Office of Military Missions, which should organize product quality control.
