Antonov buys two engines for the new An-178


SE "Antonov" will purchase two new turbojet engines D-436-148FM for An-178 from a private domestic enterprise PJSC "Motor Sich".

with reference to Defense Express.

According to the agreement concluded between the company that is part of Ukroboronprom and a member of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine on June 3 this year, the State Enterprise Antonov will purchase two turbojet double-circuit engines D-436-148FM from the Zaporozhye plant.

The cost of the products, according to the information published on the ProZorro tender site, is $ 9.6 million ($ 4.8 million per unit), and the delivery time is 300 calendar days from the date of receipt of the advance payment.

It will be recalled that the turbojet double-circuit engine D − 436−148FM was developed by the State Enterprise developed by the Zaporizhzhya Machine-Building Design Bureau Progress and is mass-produced at PJSC Motor Sich. This product is intended for use on the An-178 transport aircraft.

As we reported earlier, Kyiv aircraft builders in May began a general construction of the fuselage of a new An-178 transport aircraft for delivery to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Peru. In addition, at that time the production of the central part of the wing, its left and right cantilever parts and tail feathers was completed. Two pylons of engines are ready for installation on the fuselage of the An-178.
