From the Israeli forest "Ukraine"
From the Israeli forest "Ukraine": Director General of the Jewish National Fund — Keren Kaemet le-Israel (ENF-KKL) "Eurasia" Ihal Yasinov congratulates Ukraine on Independence Day.
Since its creation in 1901, ENF-KKL has planted more than 240 million trees in Israel, with its assistance more than 230 reservoirs and dams were created, as well as thousands of parks, forest parks, groves and recreation areas.
The "Ukraine" forest is located in the south of Israel, in the Negev, and occupies about 120 hectares.
The project was officially formalized in 2015, and in April 2016, one of the key tree planting ceremonies took place there with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine and ENF-KKL — the Ukrainian site is part of the larger Dorot forest massif.
It became the first major forest project in Israel dedicated to the second state.
