President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a meeting with former absolute world champion in three weight categories Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs).

“Today, the legendary American boxer Terence Crawford is in Ukraine. He has been supporting our country, our people since the first days of the war. We greatly appreciate the fact that such people are close to Ukrainians.

As a sign of solidarity, Terence presented an American Pit Bull Terrier puppy, a girl named Freya. Her grandfather Athos survived the Russian occupation of Bucha, and now Freya is named after the future FREYJA air defense system as a symbol of our defense.

Thank you for the meeting and this very warm and special gift. Thank you for your support and respect for our people,” Zelenskyy wrote.

38-year-old Terence is the first boxer in the era of four prestigious titles who managed to become the absolute champion in three different divisions.

 The American announced his retirement in December of last year. He last entered the ring in September 2025, when he moved up two weight classes and defeated Saul Alvarez.
