An amusement park is being built on Obolon Island in Kyiv

 

 The Kyiv City State Administration plans to carry out major repairs and landscaping works on Obolon Island - to create an amusement park on the island with several zones, bike paths and sports grounds with reference to the CTS.

The park will have three recreation areas: active, transit and quiet. The island plans to equip a beach, a meadow, build a promenade with a mooring for boats and a floating light and music fountain.

    "The planning and spatial organization of the territory is based on the following aspects: unloading Natalka Park with the help of a new pedestrian bridge connecting the park with the island," the Kyiv City State Administration said in a statement.

The city authorities also plan to equip a ringed bicycle path, a food court, a barbecue area, an observation deck, and sports and children's playgrounds.

At the end of 2020, construction of a wave bridge connecting Natalka Park and Obolon Island has already begun in Kyiv.

The bridge will create a tourist route around the bay, which connects the promenade, Natalka Park and a new beach on the island. The works are planned to be completed by the end of August this year.
