Why do you need a voltage stabilizer
According to the standards of Ukraine, the voltage in the centralized power grid can fluctuate in the range of 198–242 V. European requirements are more severe - 207–233 V. The actual voltage jumps in our network go far beyond the permissible limits - from 130 to 280 V.
Usually in the homes of Ukrainians there are many household appliances, mostly imported. This also applies to office equipment in offices. Nobody wants it to deteriorate due to domestic electricity problems. Electronic boards for boilers and washing machines fail at 240 V. Refrigerator compressors and pumps, on the other hand, are afraid of low voltages.
The fact that the device did not break immediately does not mean that it is protected from excessive voltage. Problems in the network reduce the service life of equipment by 40-45% and increase electricity bills by 10-20%. The first thing that signals a non-standard voltage, light bulbs. If they are too bright or dim, this is a sign that the number of volts in the network must be brought to regulatory standards.
This work is performed by voltage stabilizers. In everyday life, they are also known as transformers, equalizers.
Voltage stabilizers ensure current stability when changes occur in the electrical network. They perform this function equally well, regardless of how the indicators change: fast or slow. The characteristics of the network include not only voltage. Devices are effective also in case of changes of force of current and resistance. Therefore, they provide not only the safety of equipment, but also fire safety in the room. For example, an increase in load resistance can lead to overheating of the wires, melting of the insulation and short circuit.
A wide selection of devices from different manufacturers and modifications is offered by the 220 Volt online store. On the official website of the company you will find all the necessary information about the range, prices, terms of purchase and delivery.
Types of stabilizers
Portable types of levelers are installed directly in front of single items of household or office appliances. Stationary models power all equipment in the room. Mounted on a dedicated power line, house or apartment.
By design, the following stabilizers are distinguished:
Relay. They have a wide input voltage range.
Triacs. They are characterized by speed during neutralization of voltage spikes and interference, as well as minimal noise.
Electromechanical (servo-driven). Adjust slowly and smoothly. They are characterized by high accuracy of maintaining the set value. Produce slightly more noise than triacs.
Ferroresonance. Provide smooth adjustment. They are characterized by high output accuracy and speed of adjustment. Due to the dimensions and noise are used only in production.
Double conversion. Super accurate. Stabilize voltage and frequency. Work with low noise.
To determine the power of the required stabilizer, it is necessary to make the power indicators of all devices available in the building. The characteristics of the device that will rectify the voltage will depend on this value.
