The first hull of the OCEA boat was handed over to the border guards

 

 In France, the first hull of the OCEA FPB 98 MKI patrol boat for the Marine Guard with reference to the UMP was handed over to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The event was held in accordance with the terms of the contract concluded between the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the French company "OCEA".

Currently, representatives of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine from among the working group supervising the construction are in France.

Yesterday, February 18, the head of the working group, Captain 1st Rank Vladislav Smirnov, and the Production and Quality Director of OCEA Luke Bulestre signed the acceptance of the hull of the first boat FPB 98 MKI for the Marine Guard of the SBGS.

In addition, during the visit, representatives of the State Border Guard Service study the production capacity of the company, check the readiness and construction of other mortgaged buildings.

Five more hulls are in operation for boats for maritime safety and protection of special purpose maritime borders, one of which has already been completed by 60%, the start of their construction was announced in December 2021.

In addition, the readiness of the company "OCEA" to accept a working group to oversee the construction of boats. A group of experts is expected to travel to the French city of Les Sables-d'Olonne in the spring to provide ongoing feedback and continuity to the boat-building process.

Members of the Ukrainian team, who will travel to France, will accompany the stages of boat construction, coordinate relevant documentation, participate in factory, mooring, running tests, as well as other inspections related to the construction of boats, their equipment and equipment.

We will remind, on July 22, 2020, in the territory of shipbuilding and ship repair plant "Nibulon" the contract on supply of 20 patrol boats of OCEA FPB 98 MKI for Marine protection of SBGS took place.

The FPB 98 MKI is a 32-meter maneuverable light aluminum shunting patrol boat that develops speeds of up to 30 knots with a range of 1,200 nautical miles and has a low draft for sailing in shallow water.
