 The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company received a net profit of UAH 79 million

 PJSC Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company in 2020 received a net profit of UAH 79.3 million against a loss of UAH 8.6 million in 2019.

This was announced in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine by Acting Chairman of the Board Alexei Khomyakov, reports with reference to the CTS.

    “Last year, for the first time in 10 years, the UDP showed a significant net profit of UAH 79.3 million. Let me remind you that the shipping company ended 2019 with losses of “minus” UAH 8.6 million, ”he said.

According to Khomyakov, in 2020 the net income from the sale of products of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company amounted to UAH 662.2 million. EBITDA is UAH 62.4 million, the plan has been fulfilled by 139%. EBITDA margin rose to 9.4%.

At the same time, the shipping company paid UAH 68.7 million in taxes and mandatory payments to the state and local budgets last year.

    "At the same time, in 2020 we did not have a de facto passenger fleet, which brought an average of up to UAH 200 million in revenue," said Khomyakov.

It is noted that in 2019 PJSC received 8.635 million UAH of loss compared to 7.228 million UAH of profit for 2018.

In November 2019, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine appointed c. at. Chairman of the Board of UDP lawyer Alexei Khomyakov.
