Ukraine prepares ground infrastructure to work with Sich-2-1 satellite

 

 The State Space Agency of Ukraine is preparing the ground infrastructure for work with the Sich-2-1 satellite with reference to the UMP.

The National Center for Space Management and Testing (NTSUVKZ) is preparing for the launch and orbital operation of the Sich-2-1 spacecraft (Sich-2-1 spacecraft).

All work is carried out in accordance with the terms and scope of work, which are determined by the organizational-planning and management documents approved by the Chief Designer of the spacecraft and the State Space Agency.

NCUVKZ performed work on the preparation of the ground information complex (NIC). In particular:

    modernization of ground stations of information reception UNSPI-8.2 and PS-8.2 was carried out. The efficiency of receiving stations and their compliance with international standards was checked in the process of receiving information from foreign remote sensing spacecraft;
    modernization of the complex of processing, archiving and storage of information was carried out, the hardware part was updated, new software was installed, which is intended for information processing from the spacecraft "Sich-2-1";
    the ground information system of distribution and delivery of remote sensing information to consumers was worked out and checked by practical operation.

Work on the preparation of the ground control complex (GCU) is carried out in accordance with the schedule of work on preparation for the launch of the spacecraft "Sich-2-1" and taking into account the division of responsibilities between the Chief Designer of the spacecraft and NCUVKZ. At the expense of budgetary financing outside the space program of NCUVKZ the following volume of works is executed:

    modernization and re-equipment of the Ground Control Station SKTRL-M1 was carried out;
    purchased and installed hardware and installed the basic software of the Flight Control Center of the spacecraft "Sich-2-1";
    prepared and tested technical means that ensure the functioning of the PMC: communication and information transmission system, power supply system, other systems.

The development of specialized software (SPZ) of the Sich-2-1 spacecraft at the request of the Chief Designer of the Sich-2-1 spacecraft is carried out by Dniprokosmos, a branch of the NCUVKZ, at the expense of maintenance funds.

Execution of works is carried out in accordance with the terms of reference and initial data of the Chief Designer of the spacecraft "Sich-2-1".

The works are performed according to the agreed work schedule. Execution of works is complicated by repeated changes in the technical task and in the initial data.

To ensure the orbital operation of the spacecraft "Sich-2-1" NCUVKZ together with the SE "Ukrainian State Center of Radio Frequencies" carried out work on the inclusion of radio frequency assignments of the satellite network SICH-2M in the International Reference Register of the International Telecommunication Union.

In order to ensure proper operation of terrestrial space infrastructure NTSUVKZ during the last three years carried out a significant amount of work on repair, re-equipment and modernization of technical facilities, which are located NKU and NIC, development of engineering systems and communications, increasing energy and heat supply, etc.
