Progress has already delivered 12 AI-450 engines to Turkey for Turkish Akinci drones

In Turkey, the second prototype of the Akinci strike UAV is being prepared for the first flight, which is to take place in the near future. During the tests it is planned to reach a speed of 500 km / h.

In February 2020, Zaporizhzhya Engine Building Design Bureau "Progress". Academician OG Ivchenko exported to the Turkish company Baykar Makina Sanayi Ve Ticaret As (Ikitelli Organize Sanayi Bolgesi Metal-Is Sanayi Sitesi15. Block No: 1) two more aircraft engines for UAVs of this type AI-450T for a total of 0.64 million dollars

Thus, the total number of engines delivered to Turkey of this type reached 12: 6 were exported in 2019 and 4 - in 2018.

The first flight of the first prototype Akinci UAV with AI-450T engines took place on December 6, 2019 at the airport in the city of Corlu in the northwest of Tekirdag province.
