Antonov has begun assembling the fuselage of the An-178 aircraft for Peru

The Antonov State Enterprise has started the general assembly of the fuselage of the An-178 aircraft for delivery to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Peru.
with reference to UMP.

Recently, the bow of the fuselage (F-1) was installed in the general building berth, where the floor, frames and side panels of the cargo compartment were previously placed.

To date, the production of the central part of the wing, its left and right cantilever parts, tail feathers has also been completed.

Also, two pylons of engines are ready for further installation on the fuselage of the aircraft.

In total, 25 Ukrainian companies and about 30 European and North American suppliers are involved in the supply chain of units for the new An-178.

At the beginning of February, Antonov State Enterprise was assembling the main components of the An-178 fuselage (bow part F1, center part F-2 and tail part F3) for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Peru.

The An-178 aircraft with serial number 006 is being built for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Peru within the framework of the agreement signed in 2019 by the State Enterprise “Spetstechnoexport” and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Peru.

Antonov State Enterprise will supply the An-178 to the Peruvian National Police and service it for the warranty period specified in this agreement.

An-178 - medium transport aircraft designed for delivery of personnel, weapons and light military equipment by landing and parachute methods, transportation of materials, mail and other cargo "in bulk" or in standard containers and cargo on pallets with a total capacity of up to 18 tons .
