IKEA will open online sales in Ukraine

Swedish company IKEA starts official sales in Ukraine. Sales start first with online ordering and delivery. A list of goods and their prices is already available on the company's Ukrainian website, but it is not yet possible to place an order.

BBC News Ukraine interlocutors close to the company point out that the opportunity to order and pay for the goods will appear as early as next week. This will be officially announced in the near future. The company's support line is already working, where they say that now it is possible to get acquainted with the prices and range, and next week the sales system should start working.

Note that despite the announcement of entering the Ukrainian market, in 2018 the company announced that it would be a "new urban format" and not a huge shopping center familiar to Europe. In June 2019, the company began recruiting staff, but due to problems with retail space, the opening of the store was postponed.

It will be recalled that the lease agreement for furniture retailer IKEA Ukraine with Blockbuster Mall in Kyiv has already been signed, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, the closing date for the opening of the IKEA store has not been announced yet.
