Kamyanets-Podilsky Fortress updated lighting
Before the start of the tourist season, the Kamyanets-Podilsky State Historical Museum-Reserve changed the concept of lighting the Old Castle - now it shines exclusively in shades of white.

“In order to emphasize the architectural features of the monument and show the object in all its beauty, the museum administration changed the concept of the old lighting. The museum received recommendations on lighting from Polish colleagues and employees of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage of Poland, ”the museum's press service said.
From now on, there are no other colors in the backlight of the castle, except for shades of white. In addition, the canyon is illuminated and for the first time - the south side of the monument. At the same time, a completely different, energy-efficient type of floodlights is used. As a result, the museum stressed, electricity consumption is reduced by four times.
The luminaires are placed both on elements that already exist, for example, the supports of street lighting networks, and on new racks that do not violate the cultural layer and the integrity of the buildings of the Kamyanets-Podilsky State Historical Museum-Reserve.
The project was developed by a Vinnytsia company that has been operating in the Ukrainian market for 20 years and is the only one with experience in illuminating such large-scale facilities.
The cost of the project is 300 thousand hryvnias. This amount was paid by the museum.
