Marketplace BOO!UA launches a unique price comparison service for used goods for Ukraine

“The work of the system is based on the principles of Data Science and artificial intelligence. In simple terms, in our system the operation of the machine will replace the manual work of people. The system will analyze the prices of used goods in the market, systematize them and determine the optimal price, depending on the condition. And all users of the system will be able to get an objective picture of the price-quality ratio, ”says Dmitry Yakovenko, IT Director of the BOO! Ua marketplace.
The leadership of the marketplace constantly emphasizes that one of the key tasks of their new IT product is to make the market for selling used goods in Ukraine more modern.
“Products of each category have their own gradation. In particular, it can be refurbished products that had certain manufacturing defects that were fixed by the manufacturer, used goods in good condition, used goods with certain external or internal defects. All these factors affect the price of goods. For example, now the new iPhone 11 costs about 23,000 hryvnia. But if it is a used iPhone, then its price primarily depends on how much it was used, whether there is damage to the screen and the case. And so that sellers do not overestimate or underestimate prices, and buyers have the opportunity to purchase goods at real cost, we decided to launch our service, ”explains Vadim Fedorchuk, Director of BOO! Ua.
According to the plan, the new service will be multifunctional and work in several key areas.
“The new service will be primarily designed for our partners who sell products on BOO! Ua. Depending on the characteristics of the product and price comparisons at other sites, the program will form the optimal price for this particular product, which will allow them to sell it faster, ”adds Vadim Fedorchuk.
