A field of tulips has blossomed in the newly created arboretum near Kyiv

Not far from Kyiv, in the village of Kopyliv, Makariv district, on an area like 300 football fields, there is Dobropark - a place where there are currently flowering and fragrant meadows, and in the future there will be a modern arboretum with entertainment for the whole family. Back in the fall, gardeners planted 1,200,000 tulips. It was planned to open the park for visitors on April 24, because that is when the tulip field blossomed. But due to quarantine everything was canceled.

On April 30 and May 1, media representatives were invited to Dobropark to show the beauty of tulips, which will bloom in a week or two. If the quarantine ends on May 11, visitors are unlikely to have time to see the blooms.

According to the curator of the Dobropark project Nadiya Tutenko, more than 80 varieties of tulips and about 20 different shades were planted in the field.

    “There are late varieties, there are early ones, so that the field blooms for a certain period of time. Landing of the Dutch type, that is, these are the lines in monochrome, and several colors create such a beautiful spring rainbow. There are also mixes - we made circular mix flower beds. About 30 gardeners were planted. Last fall, the territory was prepared for about a month. We were preparing in advance and wanted to open this project with a field of tulips, ”Tutenko explained
