The number and cost of maintaining the Armed Forces of Ukraine are disclosed
The official website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine publishes indicators of the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the cost of maintaining personnel and equipment.

The information is contained in the passport of the budget program for 2020 "Ensuring the activities of the Armed Forces, training of personnel and troops, medical care of personnel, military service veterans and members of their families, war veterans."
The current Law of Ukraine of March 6, 2015 № 235-VIII, the normative number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is set at no more than 250,000 people, including 204,000 servicemen.
The budget program envisages a total estimate of UAH 88.95 billion, of which UAH 87.692 billion from the general fund of the state budget and UAH 1.258 billion from the special fund. This money is planned to be spent as follows (main directions):
Payment of cash benefits and salaries - UAH 62,331 million (including maintenance of university staff - UAH 3,480.7 million, medical institutions - UAH 2,182 million;)
Operation, maintenance of the barracks and housing stock, buildings and facilities, construction and repair, sublease of housing for servicemen - 7,728.2 million;
Logistics - 8,298.7 million;
Maintenance of the communication system - UAH 211.9 million;
Training of troops, conducting international exercises - 602.5 million;
Maintenance and operation of weapons, recovery of emergency VTM - 1 324.2 million;
Military transportation, maintenance of highways - 736.5 million;
Conducting mob work, training reservists and conscripts - 113.8 million;
Participation of the Armed Forces in peacekeeping and security operations - 561.4 million;
Operation of aerodromes and hydraulic structures - 87.3 million;
Fortification equipment of the defense frontiers - 114.5 million;
Provision of conscription, training of contractors - 166.3 million;
Security of military facilities - 85 million;
Purchase of fuel for environmental protection, life and combat training - 5,068.2 million;
Medical care for the military, veterans and members of their families - 1,059.7 million;
Training of military personnel - 214.5 million.
It is noted that the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is 246,160 people, including 193,800 servicemen and 52,360 civilians, 5,275 of whom are in the following positions:
Number of servicemen - 193,880 people;
Number of military personnel participating in the environmental protection - 40,094 people;
Number of cadets among civilian youth - 6,233 people;
Number of military servicemen - 21,400 people;
Number of employees in military positions - 5,275 people;
Number of civil servants and employees (excluding the above) - 47,085 people.
The number of servicemen provided with three meals a day is given - 107,078 people (average cost of services per day per serviceman is UAH 89.5). Contractors who are provided with lunch (or monetary compensation) - 28,981 people (average cost 29.1 UAH).
The number of servicemen who are paid compensation by rent or rent - 25,143 people. The average monthly amount of compensation per family is UAH 3,421.8.
It is also planned to wash 2,363.6 tons of linen (average price UAH 19.5 thousand per ton) and wash personnel 182,300 times (UAH 41.4 per serviceman).
The average cost of material support for one soldier is 20.5 thousand UAH.
The average monthly expenses for financial support of one serviceman are: UAH 22,684.2 participating in the OOS, UAH 14,033.5 not participating in the OOS, UAH 847 for a cadet from among civilian youth, UAH 509 for a conscript, 5 грн.
The average monthly salary costs of one civilian employee are UAH 9,028.3.
The average size of lifts when a serviceman is transferred is UAH 28,415. Moreover, 11,809 military transfers to the new place of service are planned, and reform measures are being carried out in 491 military units.
