We plan to develop a feasibility study by the end of the year. We work with the World Bank and USAID. It is 200 MW of storage batteries and 100 MW of the sun, but it is without the "green" tariff, and for own needs, - the general director of the company Igor Sirota told.
Ukrenergo is constantly facing difficulties in balancing Ukraine's energy system due to the sharp increase in electricity production by solar stations at the "green tariff" during the day against the background of falling total consumption. That is why the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development together with NEC Ukrenergo have developed a project to build a 200 MW energy storage system that could address the issue of capacity regulation.
