Diesel fuel production has increased in Ukraine
The balance of the diesel fuel market in November 2020 amounted to 664 thousand tons, which is 7% more than in November last year (621.1 thousand tons).
with reference to Kurkul.
The growth of the market was ensured both by domestic production and by increasing import supplies, mainly from Belarus.
In November 2020, the production of Ukrainian refineries, compared to the same period in 2019, showed a 30% increase - up to 93.8 thousand tons. Due to this, their share in the market balance for the month increased to 14.1% against 11.5 % a year earlier.
The main growth in domestic production was demonstrated by the Kremenchug Refinery (Ukrtatnafta), which increased the output of the state enterprise by 35% to 87.9 thousand tons.
Belarus has strengthened its import position. Last month, its refineries sent 251,000 tons of diesel fuel to Ukraine, which is 31.6% more than in November 2019. The jump in November, as in October this year, is due to low imports in similar months of 2019 due to repair work at enterprises.
In addition, at the end of the year, Belarusian companies will close their contractual obligations, according to which they must supply about 180,000 tons of resources to Ukraine every month under long-term contracts alone, excluding spot sales. However, due to problems with the supply of Russian oil to the plants in the first months of 2020, the contracts were fulfilled only half. Thus, in January-March 2020, about 80-90 thousand tons of SOEs were imported to Ukraine.
"Imports of Russian resources for the reporting month amounted to 214 thousand tons, which is 7% more than in November last year (199.6 thousand tons). At the same time, railway deliveries of diesel fuel decreased by 15% to 54.4 thousand tons, and supplies through the Belarusian pipeline terminal in Gomel decreased by 44.5% to 75.3 thousand tons. Meanwhile, it was possible to increase the supply of resources from Russia. account of direct deliveries by the PrykarpatZakhidtrans pipeline (84.8 thousand tons), ”the statement reads.
In November 2020, imports of diesel fuel from Lithuania amounted to 61.5 thousand tons, which is almost the same as in November 2019 (60.2 thousand tons), and imports through seaports last month fell more than twice, to 42, 2 thousand tons.
In total for 11 months of 2020 the volume of the diesel fuel market amounted to 6.739 million tons, which is 5.1% more than for the same period in 2019 (6.414 million tons).
