Nova Poshta has launched an innovative logistics terminal in Kharkiv Region

According to the company, the terminal became the fourth most innovative in Ukraine and the second largest after Kyiv.

Construction of a facility with an area of ​​over 19 thousand square meters. m lasted 1.5 years. It is equipped with automated equipment from the Dutch company Vanderlande, capable of processing 8.5 thousand parcels per hour.

The terminal is also equipped with 31 special telescopic conveyors, which are used to unload and load shipments directly into the car. The total capacity of the terminal is up to 20,000 parcels per hour.

    “Investment in infrastructure is a necessity for the company to effectively sort parcels, the volumes of which are significantly increasing from year to year and have already increased by 30% this year. The opening of the Kharkiv terminal will help us to distribute logistics flows in the eastern direction and maintain the speed of delivery, ”said Oleksandr Bulba, CEO of Nova Poshta.

The Kharkiv terminal will sort shipments for Kharkiv, as well as Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Currently, the terminal operates in a test mode - all processes of terminal logistics of Novaya Pochta are synchronized: logistics directions and information structure change, the flow of items is distributed.

Nova Poshta plans to launch it on a regular basis next week.

The terminal still has 350 employees and the company is looking for almost 200 more employees - loaders and parcel sorters.

Note that by the end of 2021, Nova Poshta plans to build 16 terminals of various categories and reconstruct three more.
