"ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" received the second EffiShunter locomotive (photo)
The Czech company CZ Loko made and sent to the customer, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the second shunting locomotive EffiShunter 1600.
with reference to the CTS.
The locomotive is currently located in Slovakia at the Ganiska station depot, where 1435 mm trolleys are being replaced by 1520 mm track trolleys. The first EffiShunter 1600 locomotive has already arrived at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. Now the company is now waiting for a visit to Ukraine by Czech specialists, who must train local staff to work with new equipment. After that, the locomotive will be put into operation.
In total, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih will receive four EffiShunter locomotives, the contract for which was signed in the summer of 2019. All shunting locomotives with a total cost of 9 million euros will arrive in Kryvyi Rih in 2020. Locomotives are optimized for shunting and heavy work on industrial branches, in particular in the metallurgical and mining industries. The locomotives are equipped with a Caterpillar 3508C diesel engine with a capacity of 1000 kilowatts and a Siemens traction generator.
