Ivchenko-Progress purchases up to 200 elements for the production of cruise missile engines
State Enterprise "Zaporizhzhya Machine-Building Design Bureau" Progress "named after Academician OG Ivchenko ”, which is a part of SC“ Ukroboronprom ”, on November 9 this year signed a contract with the State Research Institute of Chemical Products (DNDIHP) for the supply of a number of components that can be used in turbojet engines such as MS-400 and the latest AI-35.
Relevant data were published on the ProZorro public procurement platform.
According to public information, DNDIHP is to supply Ivchenko-Progress 192 units of "Engine parts for aircraft, manufactured pyrotechnic means of igniting short-circuit engines." Namely:
100 units of inert electric burners EVP-MS-400 SHBRI.778939.159;
10 units EVP-MS-400 E12-02.01 SHBRI.778939.159;
82 candles of ignition of PPS A250305000 (two parties).
The deadline for delivery of the first batch (worth 363,264 hryvnias) is approximately February 15, 2021, and the second batch (worth 101,400 hryvnias) is approximately May 31, 2021. The total cost of delivery of products is 464,664 hryvnias.
In the published substantiation from SE "Ivchenko-Progress" it is noted that at the state enterprise works on creation of the engine of special purpose AI-35 and its modifications are carried out. Features of a design of this engine demand small-sized and at the same time high-energy means for reliable ignition of fuel-air mix (PPS) in the combustion chamber. Previously, such incendiaries were not developed or used.
Earlier it was reported that Ivchenko-Progress had signed a contract with Turkey for the supply of new AI-35 turbojet engines. In particular, in September this year, several contracts were signed with JSC FED (12 pumps of FMP35E-1 conductors) and PJSC Element (12 units of ECU-35 units) for a total of UAH 15,793,980.
Also, judging by the name, the components can be used in turbojet engines such as MS-400, which are equipped with Ukrainian cruise missiles R-360 "Neptune".
