 The pharmaceutical company Farmak has invested EUR50 million in a new production facility for sterile liquid medicines, which will double the production of sterile liquid medicines.

According to the company's press release, the new production building, opened to the company's 95th anniversary, is a seven-storey building built from scratch, which houses more than 20 units of basic technological equipment and almost 100 engineering.

The new production is equipped with lines with a capacity of up to 36 thousand ampoules, 12 thousand vials, 7.5 thousand nebulae and 3.6 thousand plastic vials per hour.

During the design, the technology of three-dimensional modeling and visualization of the building architecture and landscaping was used.

According to Fila Zhebrovska, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Farmak, the new building will produce, in particular, drugs needed to overcome the effects of COVID-19 - Propofol and Dexamethasone, which has recently been retrained by the WHO.

Zhebrovska noted that over the past five years, Farmak has increased production by 59%, opened a new API manufacturing plant in Shostka, opened a suppository plant, a solid drug manufacturing site, and launched a new solid packaging line and packaging line. sachet, began production of ophthalmic suspensions.

    “Realizing that the future of pharmaceuticals lies in complex developments, we have launched an innovative R&D complex and a research and development section in the biotechnology field. We have made a radical breakthrough in the company and in the industry in 25 years. Today, the planning horizon at Farmak is 7-10 years. These are new challenges, new opportunities, new directions. By opening a modern complex, we are taking a step into the future, because medicines for modern man must be manufactured on modern high-tech equipment. Ukrainians deserve the best technologies and the best quality, ”she said.

It is planned to produce solutions, emulsions, suspensions for injection in ampoules with a volume of 1 ml, 2 ml, 3 ml, 5 ml, 20 ml, solutions, emulsions, suspensions for injection in vials with a volume of 20 ml at the new sites. , 50 ml, 100 ml, inhalation solutions in nebulae with a volume of 2 ml, 4 ml and eye drops in plastic bottles with a volume of 10 ml.

The new shop will have three precincts, in particular, two precincts will start operating in 2021, the third - in 2022.

The new production is equipped with innovative equipment from leading world brands, in particular, the supplier of the radar filling line has traditionally been Bosch, two lines of solution preparation have been supplied by the Italian company Tecninox. System of preparation of elements of equipment and materials - sterilizers and washing machines from the Swiss company Belimed, system of preparation of pure environments: generation of purified water - from the Polish partners CM Systems; water injection system for clean steam - from German colleagues, Pharmatec Bosch.
