A base station of the sea area will be built on Zmiiny Island

According to the open auction in the Prozorro system, the cost of construction amounted to 67.86 million hryvnias, this price was offered by LLC "Research and Production Union of Conceptual Construction" (Refinery "Concept Bud", Kharkiv region).

Another participant in the open auction, Aria Production and Commercial Company LLC, submitted a price offer of UAH 67.92 million.

Now, with continued funding, the Global Maritime Distress System A1 station of the same name will appear on Snake Island by December 31, 2022, to ensure maritime safety.

At the beginning of November, a modernized base station A1 of the Global Maritime Communication System during the disaster and to ensure the safety of navigation "Big Fountain" was opened in Odessa.

The opening was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine D. Abramovich and Director General of the Directorate of Maritime and River Transport J. Ilyasevich.

The renewed hardware and technical complex of the State Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (DMRCC) and the Operational Control Center and Coastal Radio Station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Odesa was also opened.

The modernization has significantly increased the actual (guaranteed) coverage area of ​​the Marine Area A1 GMZLB, which will ensure sustainable communication with ships in the region and respond effectively to distress signals.
