2020 Results: State Energy Efficiency

In total, in 2020, 35 million euros were allocated through the warm credit program, and 122 ESCO agreements were signed through the energy service for the amount of 11 million euros.

1.2 billion euros were invested directly in the generation of energy from renewable sources, which made it possible to install 1.6 GW of new generating capacity.

In terms of technologies used in generation, new power plants are distributed as follows:

    1169 MW - Solar power plants (SPP);
    226 MW - SES in private households (SESd);
    144 MW - Wind power plants;
    22 MW - Biomass power plants;
    10 MW - Biogas power plants;
    3 MW - Small hydropower facilities.

The total generation of "green" energy was 8.5 gigawatts
Statistics of "green" energy generation by years: State Energy Efficiency

The total renewable power generation capacity grew by 22% in 2020 and reached 8.5 GW. Most of the energy is generated by solar and wind power plants.

The State Energy Efficiency Agency emphasizes the importance of the transition of Ukrainian households to renewable energy sources.

In 2020, about 8,000 families switched to solar panels. Thus, at the beginning of 2021, almost 30,000 households are already using green energy, and their total capacity was 780 MW.
