In Ukraine, construction without energy efficiency standards has been banned

 

From now on, residential and public buildings cannot be built in Ukraine without meeting the minimum energy efficiency requirements. They are mandatory for new buildings, renovated and overhauled buildings.

    "The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has developed two orders on the minimum energy efficiency of buildings and methods of its calculation, which have already entered into force," - said in a statement the Government portal.

It is emphasized that the establishment of minimum energy efficiency standards will allow efficient use of energy resources, and homeowners will be able to save on utility bills.

Such requirements were established for the first time in Ukraine.

    "They will allow to carry out thermal modernization of the building in stages, which will allow its owners to more effectively plan the budget and further work to obtain an energy efficiency class of the object not lower than" C ", - inform in the Cabinet.

Exceptions to which these requirements do not apply:

    individual houses,
    historic buildings,
    industrial and agricultural buildings,
    transport, energy and defense facilities,
    execution of construction works on restoration of separate constructions of buildings and constructions, for the purpose of liquidation of consequences of emergency situations (accidents),
    restoration of functioning of the objects intended for maintenance of vital activity of the population.
