A new bridge in Kremenchug will be built by a Turkish company

An auction was held for the purchase of works for the construction of the Kremenchug cable-stayed bridge. The winner of the tender was the Turkish company Dogus Insaat Ve Ticaret A.S. with a price offer of 11 billion 248 million 800 thousand UAH.

Savings on the tender amounted to UAH 1.27 billion with reference to the CTS.

Now, within the period specified by law, the winner of the procurement will be announced and the relevant contract will be signed.

“The Kremenchug bridge should become a demonstration project. It takes into account both modern world approaches to design, construction, and the needs of domestic manufacturers - because 95% of the materials will be Ukrainian, "- commented on the auction head of" Ukravtodor "Alexander Kubrak.

According to the feasibility study, the new bridge will be cable-stayed and will have 4 lanes - two in each direction. On the right bank of the Dnieper, it will connect with the H-08 road, on the left - with the current street and road network of Kremenchuk. These points provide construction of interchanges at different levels. The total length of the buildings will be over 3 km.

The length of the bridge itself (including approaches) will be 1.7 km. As previously reported, construction work is scheduled to begin in 2021 and be completed in 3 years.

The tender was announced under the design-build scheme, which means that the same company will be responsible for the development of design documentation and the contractor for the construction of the bridge.

Currently, the only operating bridge in Kremenchuk is Kryukivsky. It is in an emergency condition. At the same time, two important for the region state roads H-08 Boryspil - Dnipro - Zaporizhia and M-22 Poltava - Oleksandriya pass through it. The nearest road bridges to the city, which meet the conditions of modern traffic, are within a radius of 500 km.
