Azovstal bought a 140-tonne iron truck

 

 Azovstal Metallurgical Plant, part of the Metinvest Group, in connection with the renewal of rolling stock at the plant, purchased a new iron truck with a capacity of 140 tons to transport liquid iron from the blast furnace to the mixing department of the converter shop with reference to CTS.

Special equipment has already been delivered to the unit and will be put into operation.

    "Specialists of the metallurgical plant assembled an iron truck, installing two-axle carts and a bucket on the carriage," the company said in a statement.

After that, the novelty was tested - running in the bucket, checking the pins and paws.

    "Before the first gulf of cast iron, the specialists of the contractor will make the bucket lining with special refractory materials," the company added.

It is noted that investment in the acquisition amounted to UAH 4.32 million.
