Ukrainian HR startup Hirio raised $ 400,000

 Ukrainian startup in the field of HR-technologies Hirio was able to raise $ 400,000 in a pre-seed round. The round was led by Pipedrive unicorn founders Ragnar Sass, Martin Henk and Martin Tajur.

According to Hirio, the investment will be aimed at accelerating the growth of the startup in international markets.

The round was led by Pipedrive founders Ragnar Sass, Martin Henk and Martin Tajur. Also participating in the round were former Pipedrive employees Cairo Kasper, Martin Koiva (also founded Klaus), Elar Nellis (co-founder of Salto & LIFT99) and other business angels.

    “Our initial goal was to raise $ 300,000 to meet our key performance indicators and growth goals. After we offered the market to invest in Hirio, we generated extremely high interest from investors and decided to increase the target amount to $ 400,000. Two days later, we again had more offers than we needed even for the $ 400,000 target. we were able to select investors with the most relevant expertise for Hirio and close the round in five days, ”says CEO of the startup Kostya Miska.

The founders decided to use the investment to grow more actively in international markets. According to co-founder and CTO Artyom Dudinsky, Hirio is primarily targeting the US market, which has over 70 million low-skilled workers and where companies still use Excel to streamline their hiring process.

LIFT99 Kyiv Hub, which Hirio joined back in June 2020, acted as the facilitator providing fundraising for this round.
