An agreement on the joint production of audiovisual works has entered into force between Canada and Ukraine
On January 1, 2021, the Agreement on Joint Production of Audiovisual Works between Canada and Ukraine entered into force.

From now on, Ukrainian and Canadian producers can apply for budget support, tax benefits and discounts on distribution in both countries, provided they co-produce.
“The agreement opens up excellent opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. But it is also important to work on the international promotion of Ukraine. And it is ahead, ”said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
Canada is a recognized leader in co-production, implementing about 60 international projects each year.
"From now on, Canadian and Ukrainian producers can make great films together, using all the opportunities available in both countries," said Larisa Galadza, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine.
“This agreement is the basis for strong cooperation. And I'm sure it will be a very interesting film and TV project, "said Reynolds Mastin, president and CEO of the Canadian Media Producers Association.
