The Ukrainian designer presented the concept of a heavy armored wheeled universal platform

 

 Ukrainian designer of military equipment Denis Silich presented the concept of a universal military armored vehicle (base chassis) with reference to the UMP.

The presented heavy armored universal wheel platform (VBKUP), in various variants of functional execution, is capable to carry out combat tasks in the conditions of bad passability, in particular and on weakly bearing soils.

In this case, the platform is shown in the configuration of the artillery system carrier.

    "Structurally VBKUP is a vehicle with a hinged frame, the key feature of which is the optimal balance of weight and load capacity, thanks to which it demonstrates excellent maneuverability and exceptional reliability," - says the designer.


Increased patency is also provided due to the possibility of centralized regulation of tire pressure.

It is stated that VBKUP is able to quickly and safely overcome steep climbs. Maneuverability and small turning radius make it possible to perform tasks in a limited area. The machine is able to make a complete U-turn almost on the spot and without acceleration. Features of a design also provide ability to maintain big loadings and protect from overturning.


It is assumed that this vehicle will be able to move on the most difficult terrain at speeds up to 70 km / h (public roads - up to 90 km / h).

The enclosed crew cabin, which provides working space for four people, has armor capable of providing protection against weapons of mass destruction, small arms fire up to 12.7 mm and fragments of ammunition.
