Ukrainian cities bought more than 300 trolleybuses last year
In 2020, Ukrainian cities purchased 337 trolleybuses.
This information was provided by the resource AllTransUA, with reference to the CTS.
It is noted that 2020 surpassed 2011, when cities bought equipment en masse before the Euro 2012 championship and bought 282 trolleybuses.
"The share of a new manufacturer in the Ukrainian market - Polytechnoservice from Brovary, which produces trolleybuses based on Belarusian MAZ-203 bodies, has started to grow, and in addition to Vinnytsia, the company has started supplying trolleybuses to Kharkiv," the statement said.
It is also reported that Electron supplied trolleybuses to Lviv and Etalon to Chernihiv.
Last year, cities used the financial leasing tool more often: of the 60 new trolleybuses that were not purchased by MFIs, 26 were purchased through financial leasing. All trolleybuses purchased in this way - "Dnipro" T203 and PTS-12, are built in MAZ-203 bodies.
Thus, in 2020, only 34 new trolleybuses were purchased at the expense of the budget using the Prozorro system.
As for the used trolleybus market, 5 cars were bought this year. They were bought by Zaporizhia - Van Hool AG300 trolleybuses from Arnhem and Esslingen. In addition, 5 used Volvo V7000 AT trolleybuses were delivered to Ivano-Frankivsk from Linz, but they are still privately owned.
