Kharkiv Aircraft Plant is waiting for the order of eight military aircraft
Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise (Kharkiv Aircraft Plant) can receive an order for 8 aircraft for the military. According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Urusky, An-74 aircraft should be included in the state defense order. with reference to "Kontrakty.UA".
President of the Ukraviaprom Association Viktor Popov explained that the order concerns the construction of eight An-74 aircraft. The company can complete some of the aircraft that are in the factory as unfinished. Popov also added that the association has preliminary letters and wishes of the Ukrainian military to order eight aircraft - four patrol aircraft for the Navy and four more for the Ministry of Defense in the form of transport.
Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise (Kharkiv Aviation Plant) is one of the enterprises of the aviation industry of Ukraine, specializing in a full cycle of works on serial production, finishing and maintenance in the process of operation of manufactured aircraft. The company launched the last aircraft in 2014. Currently, the company has UAH 3.6 billion in debt. In August 2020, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said that a working group led by Urusky would work out a plan for the development of the aircraft plant.
