In 2020, Metinvest invested about UAH 8 billion in the development of Kryvyi Rih enterprises

 

 This year, Metinvest has implemented large-scale projects at the North, Central, Ingulets Mining and Production Plants and the Metinvest-KRMZ plant. Among the projects of enterprise development are restoration of mining equipment, modernization of production, improvement of working and living conditions of workers.

Nine new 12-cc excavators were purchased during the quarry of the Kryvyi Rih mining and processing plants. They load the bucket of the dump truck in six minutes, and can ship about five thousand cubic meters of rock per day. Modern excavators are easy to operate - equipped with modernized mechanics, automated control system with timely diagnostic and monitoring programs. Also, two Epiroc drilling rigs were purchased for mining in the Ingulets quarry, and five 130-ton BelAZ dump trucks and three bulldozers - PR 764 Litronic and two CaterpillarD9R - were purchased for TsGZK.

In 2020, eight modern IVECO watch cars were purchased for the comfortable transportation of GOK employees. In addition, seven comfortable MAZ-203 buses were delivered to the Northern GOK, which deliver and deliver employees of the enterprise from all over Kryvyi Rih and Zhovti Vody.

The departmental fire department of the Northern GOK received a unique car for work in emergencies of man-made and natural nature. This is the first and only car in Ukraine of universal configuration based on RenaultTrucks. The equipment is 100% author's and is developed for all needs of firefighters and rescuers of the enterprise.

The year became significant for the Central GOK. Here, the project of modernization of equipment at the concentrator was completed, allowing the plant to be the first in Ukraine to start production of concentrate with an iron content of 70.5%. This concentrate becomes a raw material for high-margin coils, suitable for domainless steel production using direct iron reduction (DRI) technology. To do this, the factory installed high-frequency Derrick screens, magnetic two-drum separators, Multotec hydrocyclones, pump units, transformer substations, magnetic deshlamators, innovative ceramic filters KDF-90. All this works under the control of an automated system from Siemens.

In 2020, a large-scale program to replace the pump fleet of the ore beneficiation plant №1 was launched at InGOK. 40 new mechanisms have been installed here, and the same is planned for next year.

Large-scale modernization of technological equipment is also underway at ROF-1 of the Northern GOK. Five new vacuum filters, six vacuum pumps and an electric motor for the №7 pump have already been put into operation here. This year, 24 magnetic separators and five ball mills have been installed at the separation site. In total, by the end of 2021 it is planned to replace 100 separators and 8 mills. The equipment was also modernized at the screening sites of the firing machines of the Katun ко2 production plant. Here the screens of burning katuns were installed. On the Lurga 552 A and B firing machines, the assembly of conveyor equipment and scales was also performed, the main technological equipment of the return load housing (trifles) was restored, and the existing building structures were repaired.

Metinvest-KRMZ purchased a hardening hardening complex in the Mechanical Assembly shop, which will increase the surface stability of the plant's products. Then these parts are used by Kryvyi Rih GOK as spare parts for equipment. Also, the 1A660 lathe was repaired here, restoring its technological accuracy. The Central Factory Laboratory purchased a stationary spectrometer to determine the content of elements, including carbon, sulfur and phosphorus in steels, high-alloy alloys, cast iron and non-ferrous metals.

The companies implement a number of energy efficient projects at the enterprises. So at the Northern and Central plants together with YASNOEfficiency modernized lighting in factories. In addition to energy savings, these projects have increased the illumination of work areas and improved working conditions for employees. Also under the energy service contract with YASNOEfficiency in December 2020 at the mine. Ordzhonikidze TsGZK installed new compressors with an automatic control system, which saves 38% of energy for the operation of pneumatic equipment.
