The speed of the mobile Internet in Ukraine was 24.93 Mbps - the rating of operators from Ookla Speedtest

 

 

 Ookla has published the results of a speed test study in which it assessed which mobile operator has the highest average internet speed in Ukraine.

According to the results for the III-IV quarter of 2020, Vodafone has the fastest internet. The average download speed (Download) in the operator's network was 29.38 Mbps.
Over the year, the speed has grown by only 4.03 Mbps

According to the study, the average download speed of mobile Internet in Ukraine increased to 24.93 Mbit / s, compared to 20.9 Mbit / s in 2019.

Vodafone posted the fastest average download speed in the second half of 2020 at 29.38 Mbps. And also the highest in Ukraine average transfer speed (Upload) of 14.10 Mbit / s.

    “Over the past year, traffic consumption has grown 1.4 times - on average, a Vodafone data client uses more than 5 GB of mobile Internet per month. At the same time, the speed of the mobile Internet is growing, despite the increase in the load on the network. In general, for the year filed by Ookla, the speed in our network has grown by 32% and reaches 25.7 Mbps, which is even higher than the growth in Ukraine as a whole, ”commented Andrey Otroshchenko, Marketing Director of Vodafone Ukraine.

Kyivstar's results were 26.91 Mbps for download and 13.79 Mbps for data transfer.

lifecell is almost two times behind the leader of the rating in terms of average download speed. Lifecell's figure was only 15.48 Mbps. And the transmission speed was 13.79 Mbps.
The fastest internet in Lviv

The study also contains data on some large cities in Ukraine, based on which the fastest mobile Internet in Ukraine is in Lviv, where the average speed of Vodafone was 37.21 Mbps.
How the study was conducted

For this study, Ookla Speedtest analyzed about 1.3 million internet speed tests that Ukrainian users ran in the Speedtest app during the specified period.

Vodafone users have done about 330,000 tests, about 614,000 in the Kyivstar network, and 332,000 on lifecell.
